Beit Al Mamlouka is an elegantly restored 17th century Damascene house built around a central courtyard with citrus trees and a fountain. The first boutique hotel in Damascus, it has 8 bedrooms and boasts original 18th century features. The décor blends traditional Syrian style and modern opulence effortlessly. One of the suites, Suleiman the Magnificent, contains its own fountain and an original 230 year old Christian ceiling fresco. The hotel’s communal courtyard is brought to life with citrus and orange trees and an idyllic bar and restaurant is situated in the converted stable.
