the white city
Exploding with souks, traditional Moroccan cuisine and white architectural attractions, Tangiers is the perfect destination for your Moroccan getaway. Located at the crossroads of Africa and Europe, the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, Tangiers still very much retains its own unique vibrant character.
the local area
Set in acres of gardens and tiered lawns in the lush hills overlooking Tangiers, La Malletiere is a unique villa, majestically decorated with antiques collected by its eagle-eyed owners.
Here you’ll feel a million miles away from the bustle of the city, when in just 15 minutes on foot you can be haggling for trinkets in Tangiers’ souks and markets.
Only a short drive away from the beaches of the Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines, including the beautiful coastal town of Ashila, and inland, the Moorish mountain markets of Chefchaouen are not far either, La Malletiere is the perfect base.
your villa
The décor is a blend of local and European: think locally woven rugs on the floors and walls, huge antique wooden desks and chairs, carvings from all over the continent and traditional tiled hammam-style bathrooms. The whole house oozes character from the red cushioned sitting room, to the trickling fountains in the garden, and long saltwater infinity pool, perfect for a dip in summer.
your staff
Fully staffed seven days a week, you’ll have two maids, a cook, two gardeners and a house manager to pander to your every whim.
Gin and Tonic by the pool, anyone? Your chef will create Mediterranean and Moroccan feasts, chosen by you from the extensive menus (food to be paid for on site, but it is cheap as chips). Your house manager will collect you from the airport, and will also drive you to local sites too, if you wish.
