Luxury travel in Namibia is something else. The country has an incredible landscape and a vast array of wildlife and the safari experiences to be had are out of this world.
Namibia is not like anywhere else in Africa. The rugged desert landscape offers up some of the world’s most incredible natural wonders – like Fish River Canyon, the second biggest after America’s Grand Canyon. But what it has over its US equivalent is a lack of tourists. Head to Fish River Canyon and you’ll be lucky to bump into anyone.
Then there’s the breathtaking rolling sand dunes at Sossusvlei, the rare desert elephants of the Etosha National Park and let’s not forget the lions, leopards and springboks.
It seems the only thing Namibia is short on is restaurants, but the luxurious safari lodges on offer in the country serve some of the finest food in southern Africa – so you’re not going to go hungry.
In short, Namibia is an incredible place to safari and much more off the beaten track than most other places on the continent.
