Day 1:
Arrival into Managua International Airport. Transfer to Los Robles hotel where you will stay for one night.
Day 2:
Take a domestic flight to San Juan River and head to the Guatuzos Nature Reserve to see crocodiles. From there you will travel down the river to Sabalos Lodge where you can spend the afternoon rafting on the river or mountain biking and trekking around the surrounding area.
Day 3:
Kayak down the San Juan River before hiking though the tropical jungle. Overnight again on the river at the Sabalos Lodge.
Day 4:
Take a domestic flight to Managua where you can collect a 4x4 (or pick up a transfer) and head to Granada. En route to Granada visit the Volcano Masaya range and drive around the 20km of picturesque gravel paths around the five craters and two volcanoes. Alternatively, leave the car and enjoy the trails by mountain bike. Overnight in Granada.
Day 5:
Head into the jungle to experience the thrill of the canopy as you shoot across the tree tops on a zipline. A fantastic experience that takes you into the heart of the jungle, it also affords incredible views of the Mombacho volcano.
Day 6:
Spend the day horseback riding towards a hacienda in the mountains where you can enjoy lunch. After this, meander back to Granada for the afternoon before heading to the colonial town of Leon to spend the night at El Convento, an old convent that has been converted into a charming hotel.
Day 7:
Head to the Cerro Negro volcano, where you will get to ride the 'ring of fire' as you surf down the side of the hot ashes of the volcano. After spending time admiring the panoramic views of the surrounding areas and the hot ahses in the crater, you will descend towards the base of the volcano where you will then return to Leon.
Day 8:
Free morning in Leon and return to Managua where you will overnight at Los Robles.
Day 9:
Return vehicle to airport and take return flight home.
