Days 1 - 4:
On arrival in Auckland will you will be transferred by car to the beautiful Bay of Islands. Here you will spend 4 nights at the Kauri Cliffs hotel. During your stay enjoy a cruise amongst the 150 islands that give the location its name, in a luxury 36 foot motor catamaran; stop to snorkel and enjoy lunch at one of the quaint cafes in Northland's oldest village. Why not also opt for a bit of action on your very own surf safari or quad bike across the sand dunes and rocky coastlines of Ninety Mile beach.
Days 5 - 7:
Transfer to Taupo and check into Huka Lodge for 3 nights. You'll be whisked away by helicopter to White Islands for a private guided tour, stopping for a picnic lunch on a remote beach en route. Your stay will also include a cruise on Lake Tarawena; you'll leave Huka Lodge by float plane and arrive at the lake for a luxury cruise where you'll experience the majestic backdrop of the dormant Tarawena volcano, the naturally heated thermal waters and unspoiled flora and fauna. You'll be able to enjoy a relaxing soak in one of the thermal rock pools or can even try your hand at catching rainbow trout, which the lake is renowned for. Once on dry ground, your trout can be enjoyed Sashimi style (similar to Sushi), barbecued or you can decide to release your catch back into the wild.
Days 8 - 10:
It's time to head to the South Island and to Nelson. Spend your days discovering the best of what the region has to offer with a private guide in tow if desired. From world class vineyards and restaurants to exquisite art galleries this interesting region will not disappoint.
Days 11 - 14:
Arrive at Blanket Bay Lodge in Queenstown. The lodge is situated on the north end of Lake Wakatipu and boasts views of snow capped mountains and hillsides of golden grasslands. It's the perfect spot for remote walks, picnics and enjoying the unadulterated landscapes.
Day 15:
Transfer to Auckland where you will catch your flight back home.
