Day 1:
Arrive in Guatemala and transfer to the city of Antigua
Day 2:
Trip to Pacaya National Park where you will hike up the famous, active volcano followed by a tour through the colonial city on the way back to the hotel.
Day 3:
Transfer into the un-spoilt, remote highland area of Alaska, visiting the Mayan city of Ixmiche en route. Here you can hike and bike the undisturbed Alaska mountain range on local paths and trails, with views overlooking volcanoes and down to Lake Atitlan. Overnight in homestay.
Day 4:
Head deeper into the Guatemalan highlands to the spectacular Zunil mountain range where you can go hiking and biking enjoying the stunning views over ten volcano peaks. Head to Lake Atitlan late afternoon.
Days 5-6:
Spend the day at Lake Atitlan kayaking and taking in the rural activity.
Day 7:
Transfer to Guatemala City and catch flight to Peten. Visit Yaxha National Park for a jungle trek and end the day with drinks on top of the main temple for sunset.
Day 8:
Guided tour round Maya temple site in the jungle.
Day 9:
Transfer to Lake Izabel and catch a boat down the Rio Dulce to the Caribbean Ocean and the Garifuna town of Livingston. A night out on the town to drink rum and dance punta should definitely be in your plans.
Day 10:
Head back along the Rio Dulce and catch transfer to Honduras to Copan Ruinas.
Day 11:
Enjoy a private guided tour of Copan Ruins site with its famous hieroglyphic staircase, ball court and tunnels.
Day 12:
A full day excursion out to the Farm or "Finca El Cisne" where you will take a tranquil horseback ride through the farmlands and beautiful scenery of the Copan Valley. In the afternoon you can explore the coffee and cardamom plantations and learn about cattle ranching. On the way back to Copan take a dip in the hot springs.
Day 13:
Transfer out to San Pedro Sula Airport to board a short flight over to La Ceiba where you will go for a fun horse ride on the beach before transferring to the fabulous Pico Bonito Lodge on the edge of Pico Bonito National Park.
Day 14:
Try out a white water rafting adventure on one of the most beautiful and scenic rivers in all Central America. After a fun filled morning you will be free to relax at your hotel or hike some trails around the National Park.
Day 15:
Transfer to La Ceiba airport for your flight to San Pedro Sula airport and catch your international flight home.
