Day 1:
Arrive in Cape Town where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. You will have a safety and orientation presentation as well as the chance to ask your field guides any last minute questions.
Day 2:
Day at leisure to enjoy Cape Town.
Day 3:
You will be transferred to the airport to catch your IL-76 Intercontinental Jet to Antarctica landing on a blue ice runway. On arrival you will settle into camp and spend the evening listening to stories of early explorers.
Day 4-9:
Time to venture out. Chose from an extensive selection of excursions, from visiting the penguins and gentle treks to caves and ice disturbances to abseiling over an ice cliff and skidoo riding up a mountain ridge.
Day 10:
Drive to the Wolthat Mountains and spend the night at the Scott Camp, either using exact replicas of the early pyramid tents or in modern tents.
Day 11-12:
You will be picked up by plane and flown to one of the most beautiful mountains on earth where you will explore the area by ski and snowshoe before returning to camp for your final evening.
Day 13:
You will be flown back to Cape Town.
Day 14:
You be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
