Day 1:
Arrive in Damascus and transfer to your boutique hotel Beit Al Mamlouka
Day 2:
Head straight for the Old City and visit Souq al Hamidiyyeh. Stroll through the gold and spice stalls stopping for lunch near the Great Mosque. In the afternoon explore the antique stores and visit the Christian Quarter before taking a taxi to the National Museum. In the evening enjoy a glass of arak with the locals in the old town and revel in the beauty of the whirling dervishes.
Day 3-4:
Visit the interior of the Hejaz railway station, then go to the Old City and visit the Azem Palace. Spend the afternoon admiring the old Damascene houses and enjoy a coffee at Al-Nofara in the old town. In the afternoon sample one of the local hammams (Turkish bath rituals) before enjoying a relaxing dinner out.
Day 5:
Transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
