Forget mechanical bulls - this is an authentic cowboy experience that will get your heart thumping. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the Gaucho ranches in Buenos Aires Province offer the chance to get a taste of rural Argentine living. The cowboys (or Gaucho’s as they’re known) take part in ring lancing, a traditional competition in which the aim is to lance a piece of metal through a tiny loop whilst galloping by at ridiculous speeds. Feeling brave? The weather-worn cowboys are a friendly bunch and they’re bound to invite you to ride with them - just be sure to hold on tight.
