Sardinas Valenciano
Place de la Reine, Valencia
Posted: 23 Jul 2008, Region: Europe
You can’t beat a good, fresh sardine or two in a shaded spot on a cobbled square in the early afternoon Valencian breeze. Aptly-named "Sardinas", is a cute little cafe in the beautifully preserved Placa de la Reine in surprisingly un-touristy Valencia. Head here for the salty goods accompanied by a mouth-watering array of side dishes such as local black rice or cod and pimento pepper salad. Afterwards, we recommend popping to the ice cream stall round the corner for a cooling turron-flavoured scoop. You’ll be asking for muchos mas in no time.
