Now we know what you’re thinking - why on earth would I voluntarily plunge into a big puddle of soupy, bubbly mud? But just humour us for a moment, because this is a real experience. Emanating a strong sulphurous odour, these mineral mud baths are the real volcanic deal. Tucked at the base of the island’s smoking volcano, they contain some seriously skin-nourishing elements. Dive in, rub yourself all over, let it dry in the strong Sicilian sun and then rinse off. The result? Your skin will be soft as a baby’s bottom.
