It's wolfed its way to the top spot on opening. In a city not fond of holding back, the Ritz-Carlton goes full throttle. The look is imperial Russia. The drink is Mojito. The 02 bar has a certain funky grandeur and the best views in town. The food by three-Michelin-starred chef Heinz Winkler is fabulous, the beds wonderfully comfortable and the staff bang-on. Nothing is too much trouble here. The presidential suite will set you back some £12,000 (it's always booked out), but you get you own bullet-proof dining room- in a city like Moscow, essential.
